I first tried his beer on draught at The Last Inn in Birmingham-on-Sea (Barmouth!) in July 2014 and it was lovely. Living in the East Midlands, I'd not come across it before as it isn't sold very far to the east of Birmingham as far as I'm aware. I visited Sutton Coldfield a few weeks back and found a few bottles of it in an off license.
I was delighted to find that it was every bit as nice in bottles as it was in the pub. It's a quite fruity beer and very easy to drink.
Having just bought another 24 bottles of it from Classic Ales, I think it's safe to say that I thoroughly recommend that you try it for yourself. I'm sure you'll love it.
Come on Marstons, don't be selfish. It's high time you'm let us non-Brummies (and their Welsh cousins) buy it elsewhere in the country too.
This is a beautiful pale ale I discovered in a boxed set. It has a glorious, almost grapefruit flavour that is easy to drink. Perfect for the summertime, but will be thoroughly enjoyed over Christmas! Keep a look out for it on tap when you go out, it's even better from the barrel!
